Surprising Results From Our SERP Tracker Feature Survey

We have had a little over 1500 Raven users respond to our survey about a potential new (old?) feature; SERP Tracking. We wanted to share the results with everyone because the people have spoken, and Raven listened.

1499 people were polled and the average was 400. The survey indicated that 600,000 total keywords would be tracked.

How important is being able to see ranking results defined by Zipcode (for local SEO)?

About 94% of respondents indicated some level of importance in local SEO rank tracking.
45.07% (645) said it was very important to track by zip code for local SEO (we agree).
21.38% (306) said it was still quite important to monitor local SEO rankings.

How important is the identification of SERP features i.e. Rich snippets, image results, video, etc.

After writing our Visual Guide to The SERPs post which outlined some of the benefits of Rich Snippets, it’s no surprise that about 70% of respondents said that identification of SERP features was a big deal to them.

1,411 out of 1432 people indicated that identification of SERP features mattered in some degree. Message received.

239 people said that other search engine ranking mattered a great deal.
154 people said it mattered a lot.
305 people said it was moderately important.
484 people said it was a little important.
215 people said not at all.
