Intellitonic’s 3 principal members had extensive experience with marketing reporting tools when they formed in 2016. That experience led them straight to Raven Tools for even their earliest reports where they brought together marketing data from many different sources with insightful annotations and ideas for continuous improvements. Company

Intellitonic is a small marketing agency out of Bellingham, Washington that specializes in providing digital marketing services to non-profit businesses and small and medium business clients. They formed in 2016 with specialists in digital marketing, major media audiences, and artificial intelligence.

Problem

The Intellitonic team had extensive experience working with many of the major marketing tools, including Moz, BrightEdge, BuzzBoard, UpCity, Kenshoo, and Raven Tools. They needed a tool that would take care of their Google data along with PPC, social media, and SEO data. They were also looking for a multi-platform reporting tool that allowed them to add comments and build templates to ease their monthly reporting.

Solution

Intellitonic has used Raven Tools since the first month they need to send reports to their clients, and have used it every month since. When Google released the Data Studio tool, they tried it, but found it too difficult to gather and import all the data in order to build their visualizations.The team uses the WYSIWYG reports most often to send monthly reports with annotations and analysis right in the document. They also find that using the import feature to duplicate reports across campaigns makes reporting time so much shorter. Once they connect client Google accounts to Raven, they also run an SEO Metrics report to understand their SEO standing and provide plans for improvements. They include these metrics in their reports most often:

  • Google Analytics (month over month) (year over year)
  • Site performance (month over month)
  • Google AdWords (month over month)
  • Facebook ads (month over month)
  • LinkedIn ads (month over month)
  • Summary section for work completed, status, and work for next month

Results

Although they have used Raven Tools from the beginning, Courtney Rambo, Intellitonic’s Director estimates that they have cut their data aggregation down from about 5 hours to only minutes. She finds that by using Raven Tools her team can spend less time trying to pull together all the important metrics and more time building insights and plans to help their clients.
