If you have searched anything in Google lately, you might have wondered why some results have photos attached to the article. That’s Google’s new system of rich snippets for writers, often referred to as Google Authorship.
Not only does Google Authorship enhance search results—making it easy to know which articles are written by your favorite authors—the new “Author Rank” may also affect search result rankings in the future.
Here’s how they look right now:
If you’re an SEO, content marketer, blogger, copywriter, freelance author or journalist, you should consider attending the upcoming Google Authorship Meetup in Nashville, hosted by Ross Jones of 2theTop Web Design.
