Raven’s Event Manager is a quick and simple tool to help make sense of website traffic patterns and show a boss or client just how well certain aspects of your campaign are going.
Did an email campaign result in an uptick in traffic? Was there a Google algorithm change that hurt your site? Marking any event will help you keep track of that.
And now, you can color code those events for easy identification within Raven and in your PDF reports as well.
To create an event, navigate to Site > Events. From there, you can add the event and its date(s), select your color and determine whether the scope of the event should be limited to your website, your profile or the entire account. With this update, we also included global scope, so if a particular event will touch every website in your Raven account, you only have to add it once.
Any event that you’ve added will be visible on graphs for Google Analytics, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube metrics. Depending on the scope you’ve set for the event, you’ll see the event just for that particular website, on all websites within a profile, or across all websites within your Raven account.
If you’re creating PDF reports of your work, events will display within that PDF on Google Analytics graphs, along with a description of the event. It’s a great way to give visual representation to a client.
