How Raven reports can help you land new clients
When you walk into a meeting with a prospective client, you want to look your best. Let Raven help you land them. In a few simple steps, you can produce a professional, branded PDF report that’ll go a long way toward showing the prospect that you deserve their business. Here’s how to do it.
Raven’s research tools are a quick and easy way to get a handle on where the client stands now. You can run their domain and related keywords through our various research tools, which will help you set great benchmarks in your pitch.
Research Assistant – You can input any domain into the Research Assistant to get started with benchmark data. Do they have good Domain Authority? What keywords are they ranking well for? What keywords are they spending PPC budget on? Who are their competitors? All great information to know when entering a meeting.
Analyzers – Both Quality and Design Analyzers give you a very high level view of the health of a website. Design Analyzer especially will allow you to walk into the meeting and give them actionable information right off the bat on how you can help their website perform better.
While you don’t have access to certain accounts for the potential client yet, you can give them a good idea of what to expect from you should you land the gig.
Google Analytics – Show the potential client a sample analytics report, so they can get a handle on exactly what you’ll be providing them (weekly, monthly, etc.) Couple that with a few “dummy” events from the Event Manager to show how a certain event can have X effect on their organic search traffic.
Facebook and Twitter – Although you probably don’t have access to the client’s social accounts, you can still wow them a bit here. Raven’s social reports are simple but powerful, and clients will love seeing this top-level information. Put together a sample report using an available account to show the power of these visually appealing reports.
Ranking – After just a few minutes in the research tools, you should be able to extract some key terms that the potential client should be focusing on. Add those terms to SERP Tracker, and in just a short amount of time you’ll have great baseline data to show them.
Once you’ve gathered a bit of data, you can create this easy report. Try branding for a little extra wow factor. Here’s how:
1. Navigate to Reports > Report Wizard
2. Fill in the report details
You can name the report whatever you would like to, select the branding you want to use, and select “custom date range” . You’ll want to make sure that the date range you set for the report mirrors a date range of data you have, especially for rankings.
3. Select report options
Here, you can select exactly what data you want to show in the meeting. Research Assistant, analyzers, social data, rankings, etc. can all be individually selected here. You can also add a cover page, table of contents, and summary page for that extra touch.
4. Run the report
