I’m a big fan of simple, but useful. A Web developer in Japan created some bookmarklets that make it super easy to conduct searches on the following websites without having to visit them first.

• Amazon.com
• Wikipedia
• Yahoo!
• Google Maps
• Google Image
• YouTube
• Google Video
• Google News
• Google Trends
• Gmail

After you add a bookmarklet to your browser’s toolbar, select some text on the Web page and then click on the bookmarklet. A new window will appear with the search results for the words you selected.
