Did You Know? How to associate links with content
Guest posts are great for a lot of reasons, but one of the primary goals of giving away good content is a solid link in return. As you begin to guest post more and more, it can often become difficult to keep track of what content was given to whom, and whether or not they kept their end of the deal.
Sure, you could track links manually by hand and revisit all of your guest blogging sites every month to make sure your link integrity is still intact, but who has the time for that?
Whenever you create content in Raven, you also have the ability to associate it with any link record in the system. In fact, even if you only set up the headline for the piece of content, you can still associate it with a link record.
First, add the content/headline to the Content Manager. Then, create a new link record for the site you’re guest blogging on.
Next, tab over to the Description section of the link record. There you will find a drop-down menu titled “Related Content” where you can select the headline of the content you wish to associate with that link record.
If you have link monitoring turned on, you’ll now be notified if anything changes to that link record (according to your settings).
