Did you know? Auto-complete social tasks in CRM
When Raven recently released our CRM, a tool for link prospecting and social outreach, we also introduced social tasks. These work just like standard tasks in Raven, except the contact method specified when creating the task is a Twitter username, and the task can be automatically marked as complete.

Social tasks show up in the Task Manager (Tasks > View All Tasks) just like standard tasks do, but they’re given special attention in CRM. Any tasks that you’ve created within CRM in which you’ve chosen a contact’s Twitter account as the contact method are automatically designated as social tasks. They will be reflected in the number shown under My Social Tasks in CRM.

The cool thing about social tasks is that they’re automatically marked as complete if you tweet at the contact from within Raven. To set up a social task and ensure it’s completed automatically, navigate to CRM in Raven and follow these steps:
1. Click the Add Task button found under the main Tasks tab or under the Tasks tab of a specific contact.

2. Fill out all applicable fields for the task. Under Contact Method, choose the contact’s Twitter account. In order for a task to be designated a social task and auto-complete, the contact associated with the task must have a Twitter username entered with their contact information in CRM so it can be selected.

3. Click Create Task, and the task will appear under the Tasks tab for the contact as well as under the main Tasks tab in CRM. If you assigned the task to yourself, it will be added to the tally under My Social Tasks and All My Tasks.

If you complete the task — tweeting at the contact associated with the task — within Raven from a Twitter account authorized under the user account the task was assigned to, the task will be automatically marked as complete for you. The tweet can originate from Social > Twitter, Social > Stream or CRM — as long as it was sent from within Raven it will auto-complete the task.
