Screenshots and Walkthrough of Google’s New AdSense Referral Product
Google started rolling out their new AdSense Referral product on Thursday night. Here’s a step-by-step walkthrough of their new product that is in beta — shocking, I know.
Referrals
Google Referrals allow you to choose specific products or keywords as ads on your site. This allows you to match content directly to the ads and encourage users to complete the action associated with the ad.
To start, pick up to 15 products below and add them to the “Ad Shopping Cart” to the right. You should also choose up to 10 keywords to ensure you get newer ads matching those keywords as they become available. Click “Choose this Keyword” to add keywords to the cart after searching. Ads will be then rotated in the corresponding ad unit.
Search for a product name or keyword
Choose the keyword or click on a radio button that corresponds with a particular advertiser.
Click on the checkbox for ads you want to display.
Choose your text block color and custom channel.
Copy your AdSense code and put on your site.
The AdSense Referral ad looks just like a normal AdSense ad.
